Buçalışmanın amacı, kısa bir Osmanlı Askeri Tarihi perspektifi oluşturmaktır. Askeri tarih yazımı, tarih yazımının başladığı en erken çağlarda kendine yer bulmuştur. Devletlerin askeri teşkilatlanması; güçler dengesi, savaşlar, fetihler, uluslararası arenada kabul görme çabası, bağımsızlık hareketleri, sömürge politikaları, ekonomi ve kültürel ilişkileri doğrudan etkilemiş ve etkilenmiştir. Osmanlı Devleti’nin kısa bir süre içinde elde ettiği başarılar, cihan devleti olmasında önemli gücün düzenli bir askeri teşkilatlanmanın olduğu aşikârdır. Sistemli ve çağın ötesinde kurulan bu müesseseyi anlamak ve yorumlayabilmek için bu çalışma zemininde tartışmaya açık hale getirilmiştir.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to create a brief perspective of Ottoman Military History. Military historiography found its place in the earliest times when historiography began. Military organization, balance of power, wars, conquests, efforts to be accepted in the international arena – valid for all ages – have directly affected and been affected by independence movements, colonial policies, economic and cultural relations. The successes of the Ottoman Empire in a short time and it is obvious that the important power in becoming a world state is a regular military organization. In order tofully grasp this systematic and well designed institution, which is ahead of its time,  it is going be scrutinized and subjeckt of this essay.
